My first impressions of this organisation was that they dealt mainly with hardware solutions. So I kind of thought I would be working with embedded software and developing that. But the onsite software development is a lot larger than that actually. I guess I was looking for somewhere different and I obviously went over a few websites. So basically, I came across this particular company and it looked exciting and different. And I also was quite taken by the fact that they were willing to do a lot of training and personal development which kind of stood out from the rest.

The working atmosphere culturally is amazing. It’s relaxed, it’s fun – there is an element of, you know, work hard, play hard. We have a sports committee and a social committee too. I mean, there’s a bit for everybody to get to have fun with.

As far as personal training and development goes, when I arrived here there were courses and programmes which I was given to sort of familiarise myself with the tools and the procedures that they work here. Since starting that I’ve done management courses, Windows programming, procedures for certain projects which I’m working on. So, you know, you’re constantly developing your skills.

I think coming into a new organisation is always a bit difficult. But what I thought was amazing about this organisation is that your opinion has the same weight as somebody who’s been here for quite a few years. So you’re able to say what you wanna say without feeling restricted in any way.

The best thing about my job is the fact that I really have the chance to contribute to this organisation. The dedication of the staff as well – that really is quite an inspiring thing for being in a new company. I look forward to really concentrating on developing some amazing products.

Every day, this organisation is dedicated to coming up with bespoke solutions to… You know, you can’t just take a product off the shelf and expect it to solve your problems you know. We’re constantly striving to develop and find new solutions to many problems. Well, it’s certainy never boring and if you really wanna challenge yourself and develop your character and skills, this is definitely the right place to be.
