Co-Creation challenge: Detecting hostile emitters on the battlefield
On a modern battlefield, the radio frequency (RF) spectrum is crowded. Emitters from friendly forces, civilian infrastructure, commercial technology and enemy systems all compete for space.
This is focus of the latest 12-week, funded challenge from HMGCC Co-Creation.
Hostile emitters may transmit only briefly and unpredictably, or be designed to avoid detection. Traditional digital signal processing can no longer keep up with the volume of information.
HMGCC Co-Creation is looking for innovators to help. We want technology that can detect and classify hostile RF emitters in congested environments, running on portable, low-power hardware in the field.
Funded for 12 weeks, successful projects will deliver a prototype software capability to Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4.
